Farewell Dinner

So it was my last day at Kone and some of us went for dinner. It was more like a farewell dinner for Sharon, who’s leaving next week, doubling up as farewell dinner for me.

Lesson 1: using wide angle distorts human subjects.

We had steamboat at a place called Shabu Shabu at SS2. I remember the name coz I jokingly said “anything will do, as long as it’s not syabu“. It’s one of those all-you-can-eat steamboat place with different soups (Kim-Chi and something else). If not for the company, wouldn’t have enjoyed dinner at all. Since I don’t really eat seafood, it would cost me RM 20+ to basically eat fish balls, vegetable and some jelly as dessert. Not that bad compared to Jeff, who ate only mee and veggie - and he seems quite happy about it:

Of course, dinner is fun. More so with these people. So apart from makan, we took pics lor..

Fareeda busy taking pics.

Dammit, I was sitting all the way inside and couldn’t get pictures from different angles (all tables at that place was booth styled).

Me, Iris and Jukni. Hm, our shirts seem to be in matching shades..

Jeff, Nojeera and Sharon

Never tried low-light pics with my camera, so some pics didn’t turn out nice.

Lesson 2: at distances of around 3 feet or less, f1.7’s DOF is too thin for group pics. Would probably need f3.5 or f4.0 .

Iris and Jukni. Ah, f1.7 is acceptable at distances of around 5 feet. Stopping down to f2.5 or f2.8 would probably allow the desserts they’re holding to appear sharp, but I may end up bumping ISO up to 800.

I’ll definitely miss this bunch of people - heck, if not for them, 3 months would definitely not have passed so quickly. What’s more, there’s no burning excitement about going UK in me.. wonder if it’s a good thing or bad thing. Anyway, to my 啊姐, Sharon who’s about to start off a career in a different industry, good luck and all the best!! To the rest still at Kone, may God bless you.. :p

p/s: see mom? I’m practicing hard liao..
