Slick PR

Yesterday, Rackspace was struck with some downtime. Power was disrupted to their Dallas/Fort Worth data center when a truck driver slammed into a transformer. Hours after the incident, they had a official statement out.

Check out the last paragraph:

We cannot promise that hardware won’t break, that software won’t fail or that we will always be perfect. What we can promise is that if something goes wrong we will rise to the occasion, take action, resolve the issue and accept responsibility. If you are a Rackspace customer and don’t think we’ve lived up to this promise at anytime during the outage, please let your Account Manager know.

Nicely put. What a great PR team they have over there.

    For a moment there, I thought you were going to say you’re hosted on Rackspace. :P

    Problem with their website is that you can’t find a price which means they’re not averagely low as many.
