Something Simple for a Change

Finally, after using the old “jnls.net 3″ theme for nearly a year, I’ve had enough of red. I just didn’t like the colour scheme anymore… I wanted a change.. something simple (something I can quickly finish up). Heck, I was even tired of the typeface..
To top it all up, I wasn’t in exactly in a great mood.. it was tough going.. my Final Year Project is so friggin’ tough.. it looks really easy and straightforward on the surface, as it’s something everyone take for granted.. but wait till I tell you..
See? I learn something from my Intro to Short Story subject.. LOL!
When you start work on it (my module), when you consider that amount of flexibility (the ultimate level of flexibility, in fact) in a piece of software, it’s just mind-blowing! To make this worse (for me), the topic that my mates chose for our Final Year Project, isn’t the kind of thing I’m super keen in.. Kean Keat talked a bit bout his progress, and well, you won’t see me going “wow! that’s friggin cool!”.. Mind you, it’s not his fault, it’s just that I don’t get all excited about the topic we chose..
But thankfully, the module that I’m working on is hardly tied to our main topic.. we just figured some kinda way to tie it in.. And of course, the field that I’m “researching” into, is one that computer scientists have poured over 30 years ago.. so there’s plenty of literature on this topic..
To give you a little hint of the field my module is touching:
Yeah, I thought there’d be plenty of books about language theory, parsing, compilers and stuff like that at the library, but that’s the only one I found..
Hokay, hokay.. back to the re-design.. there isn’t much to talk about it actually, it’s a few hours work, there’s no new feature to shout about, I havn’t even added any other pages yet.. just a “vanilla” blog.. yeah, and perhaps this is the way it should be.. if you havn’t got Segoe UI, go get it already!!
Note: this theme does not suit high resolution screens with their browsers maximized.. try that and you’ll see why, unless you love it that way though..
