ShortStat Widget

I was surfing around when I stumbled on this, a ShortStat kapsule. However, Kapsule uses the .Net framework, so I was a little worried about the performance. So since I’m already using Konfabulator, a quick search revealed the ShorstStat Widget for Konfabulator.
It’s a simple widget that shows the number of hits and unique visitors as of today, and also your recent referrers. The widget is based on this. To make it work, you’d have to upload a “gateway” file to which the widget will connect to retrieve information. Luke Wertz has written one that queries the database independently, without integrating into WordPress at all. So I just uploaded it to my document root, not worrying about any script dependencies at all. You can even check out the output in xml form generated by the “gateway”.
Oh, and about the screenshot: my visitors are a bunch of lazy asses. They’re obviously still sleeping!
